Kumbh Suraksha – Pilgrim Safety Registration

Register children, elderly pilgrims and vulnerable persons for a simple safety identification system during Nashik Kumbh Mela 2027.

Kumbh Suraksha – Helping Families Stay Connected

The Nashik Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027 is expected to bring a large number of pilgrims to Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.

During a large religious gathering, families may become separated, particularly when travelling with children, elderly pilgrims, persons with disabilities or other vulnerable family members.

Kumbh Suraksha is designed as a simple pilgrim safety and identification initiative that can help families keep important identification information available in case someone becomes separated from their group.

A registered person can receive a unique Safety ID / QR Code. The QR system can later be used to access limited information needed for family reunification.

Privacy & Personal Information

🔐 Your Information Should Be Protected

Kumbh Suraksha may involve personal information such as a person’s name, age, photograph and guardian contact information.

The QR Code should not expose sensitive information directly. A unique Safety ID should be used to retrieve only the minimum information necessary for assistance.

Access to guardian contact information should be carefully controlled and should not be publicly exposed to every QR scanner.

Before this feature is launched for real registrations, the website should implement appropriate security, consent, access control, data retention and privacy procedures.
